The Old House Group of
Companies has continued its planned expansion since consolidating its
operations into our new headquarters, three years ago.
The Company was established over 30 years ago in Coleshill, where
it has remained in family ownership, now having outgrown several offices
- necessitating the most recent move to
Gorsey Lane
. The situation is ideal,
centrally located in the
Midlands
, and within easy access to
Birmingham
Airport
, the NEC and Birmingham City Centre.
We are within 5 minutes of both the M6 and M42, facilitating easy
access to all parts of the country.
We operate primarily in the East and
West Midlands
area, but also undertake contracts in the North-West and other parts of
the
U.K.
The Group has continued its planned expansion in the year to April 05,
with turnover expanding some 22%.
For the current year, we anticipate turnover achieving £100m,
with healthy order books across the whole Group of Companies.
The constituent Companies within the Group cover a wide sphere of
activities within the construction sector.
Our expertise encompasses a “one-stop shop” of activities:-
demolition and ground remediation, civil engineering, railwork, bridges,
design and build for a wide range of Clients.
A significant proportion of our work now emanates from developing
for the Social/Affordable housing sector.
Our capabilities include land acquisition, planning, design,
project management and construction.
Our Group structure and ethos is focussed on providing key ingredients
to the management teams of the operating Companies, allowing them to
benefit from economies of scale and breadth of expertise, whilst
fostering and supporting a real sense of ownership, reward and job
satisfaction. Our job is to
help our Companies save overheads, nurture a sense of ownership, provide
financial support and reward, and to help develop forward thinking
strategic decisions.
The Group is very proactive in recruitment, and in particular in
developing the next generation of skilled construction and commercial
staff, in which area we offer apprenticeships and management trainee
