Establish, maintain and expand the library of sub-contractors and
suppliers.

Prepare and supervise other staff preparing, sub-contract and
material enquiries ensuring the incorporation of all necessary
contract conditions.
·
The preparation of accurate bills of quantities including supervising
other staff involved.
·
The preparation of cost comparisons for alternative design solutions.
·
The preparation of accurate cost plans.
·
Attendance at tender strategy, midterm and adjudication meetings.
·
Bring to the attention of the Bid Manager possible tender
qualifications.
·
Alert the Bid Manager immediately should the date of adjudication
meeting be in doubt.
·
Assist the Bid Manager in the resolution and qualifications following
tender submission.
·
Attend as necessary meeting with Employers or Employers
Representatives.
·
On successful tenders, attend contract launch meeting and ensure that
all relevant information is copied and passed to the Construction
team.
·
Ensure that all documents (except sub-contract and material
quotations) used in the preparation of s successful tender are
retained and archived in procurement.
·
Constantly monitor the competitiveness of sub-contractors and in
liaison with other departments, adjust future tender lists.
·
Keep abreast of the latest developments in estimating techniques.
·
Keep abreast of the latest construction methods/materials in order to
reduce costs.
·
Visit site during the tender period in order to assess the impact of
any local conditions.
·
When practical, visit sites post contract and obtain feedback for
future tenders.
·
Prepare contract sum analysis for submission with tenders.
·
Be involved as necessary in post tender negotiations / discussions.
·
Carry out any other functions that may from time to time be necessary
in achieving the objectives of the company.
